Mobility for Millennials - A summary of the Brisbane Chapter Meeting

The FEM Brisbane Chapter Meeting on the 15th November 2017 was titled “Mobility for Millennials" and hosted by Deloitte.

Global Workforce trends are being affected by the changing makeup of the workforce. Gen Y will be roughly 75% of the global workforce by 2020, and are increasingly occupying managerial positions.

Andrea Au, Global Workforce lead for Deloitte in Australia delivered a presentation sharing recent Deloitte survey results, around how Gen Y is impacting Global Mobility policies and how organisations can best develop their future leaders.

Please see the slide deck for more information on this topic - interesting information on generational characteristics, specific information on millennials and what works best in terms of GM programs for them.

"Millennials are more engaged when they:
...have a sense of purpose
...feel generally in control and empowered
...feel that they have a positive influence on the workplace and the wider world
...work in an inclusive and collaborative work environment
...have flexibility in their work arrangements"
