Jorge Escalon, President of Enlasis LLC
As CEO of various US and Latin American companies and executive consultant to the US telecom sector, Jorge has negotiated with the Cuban government on several business opportunities since 1991. As a result, he has experienced firsthand the evolution of Cuba’s approach to foreign investment. His background includes senior level domestic and global assignments ranging from Europe to Latin America including Human Resources across European operations. He has led as CEO, culturally diverse senior leaders and teams in domestic and global start-ups, joint ventures to privately held foreign firms. Currently provides consulting advice on doing business in Cuba as well as executive coaching.
Rahul Shah, Partner at Fragomen, Del Rey, BErnsen & Loewy, LLP
Rahul's corporate immigration experience includes a wide-range of nonimmigrant visa matters -- including the H-1B, L-1, TN, E-1 and B-1 visa classifications -- as well as permanent residency matters involving PERM labor certification applications, complex immigrant worker petitions, and multinational executive and manager petitions. He also regularly advises clients on U.S. immigration compliance and provides counsel on the immigration implications of corporate mergers and acquisitions, Labor Condition Application (LCA) regulations and USCIS anti-fraud efforts. Rahul represents a variety of multinational clients throughout a broad range of industries, including software development and software consulting, as well as audit, tax and advisory services. He serves as a member of the firm’s IT Consulting Group.
