FEM was delighted to host our annual Global Mobility Summit in London on 6 November 2015 at the fantastic Lancaster London. This year our turnout from exhibitors, corporate speakers and industry professionals was unparalleled. During the conference, attendees were able to not only distil best practice from and with their peers, but to discover new partnerships, meet old friends and discuss the hottest topics in the global mobility field as we look toward 2016.

The last decade has seen mobility move from a service into a strategic business partner and the EMEA summit reflected this with panels and sessions dedicated to future thought around the evolution of global mobility. Talent, ROI and the role of the global economy in developing and maintaining best in class mobility programmes underscored the summit with spirited discussion on how to create functions fit for the future across regions and industries.

Our exceptional list of corporate speakers and panellists included representatives from HSBC, Nike, Baker Hughes, Sapient, Novartis, AECOM, Bupa, Mars, Whitbread, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Vodafone, Loyd’s Register, Burberry and more. The summit ended with an outstanding closing keynote from Mark Beatson, Chief Economist, Charted Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) on the future of global mobility and the international economy.

Industry knowledge and technical updates were led by speakers from Equus Software, Lexicon Relocation, Fragomen, Santa Fe Relocation Services, Cartus, Berry Applema & Leiden, ITX, Sterling, Mercer, Net Expat, Polaris, Dean Foster and more.

Taking place after the Summit were the annual EMEA EMMA’s awards. With our most robust showing yet, our judges had their work cut out to determine the winners of the prestigious awards. You can see the full list of winners here. The final award of the night was gifted to Vivian Mott for her outstanding contribution to Global Mobility. Join FEM in congratulating Vivian for a most deserved honour!

While FEM events are dedicated to technical learning and best practice, we are also the world’s leading networking community for global mobility professionals for a reason. This year’s exhibition hall was abuzz with delegates and attendees imparting the latest service offerings and offering solutions to new and old peers. The drinks reception, prior to the EMMA’s, as sponsored by NatWest allowed everyone to let down their hair and relax into the evening, offering an excellent time to network and get to know people over a glass of bubbly.

One of the highlights of the event was the EMEA Moose Passport competition, sponsored by Living Abroad, where the lucky winner, Sharon Quinn of Whitbread Plc, walked away with the winnings of £1000!

The FEM EMEA summit may be over, but we are already hard at work to make next year’s event bigger and better. We would be delighted to hear more of your feedback on how we can best serve the industry in the coming year and would like to thank everyone who attended, exhibited and spoke for their dedication and commitment to not only the industry as a whole, but to making our 2015 EMEA summit the best on yet!

If you missed the EMEA summit, don’t worry – the final summit of the year in Hong Kong is coming on 1 December 2015. We hope to see you there!
