The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) Connecticut Chapter in partnership with KPMG are pleased to announce more detail on the speakers at our Stamford Global Mobility Services Roundtable scheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

We’ll be discussing: Mobile Employees – Impacts and Considerations for Business Travelers with a team of experts from KPMG.

Please join us for a valuable discussion on the tax, compliance, and policy considerations surrounding a company’s mobile employees. The session will specifically focus on short term business travelers and extended business travelers, both domestically and internationally, to highlight the potential complexities surrounding them. 

The session will be led by Thomas Murray, Tax Manager, within KPMG Global Mobility Services (GMS) group. He will be joined by Catherine Maldari, Managing Director within KPMG's GMS group as well as John Montgomery, Partner, within KPMG’s GMS Employment Tax group

Catherine Maldari
Catherine has over sixteen years of experience within the field and currently assists a large portfolio of clients with their tax and mobility needs, specializing on working with clients to develop policies that help meet the business needs for their mobile workforce while also managing the complex tax compliance that comes with it.

John Montgomery
John has over fifteen years of experience and assists clients with reviewing payroll tax processes and procedures to determine leading practices, if the company is properly complying with federal and state employment tax requirements, and if areas of savings opportunities or if potential exposure or risk exists. John’s expertise also extends to the review and implementation of multi-jurisdictional withholding policies, procedures, and capabilities for clients with a mobile workforce throughout the United States.

We will spend time discussing how to best manage the potential risks, policy decisions, and options for companies to review and manage these items effectively, and look forward to a collaborative and engaging meeting.
