I’m really excited about this year’s FEM Americas Summit so I wanted to share with you some of the key topics that we’ll be exploring in Dallas May 22-23.

I know it's not always easy to justify time away from the office, but it's vital to keep up to date on all the myriad aspects of global mobility and to get fresh insight and practical solutions to reinvigorate your own policies and programs.

FEM is all about sharing knowledge and best practice, and professional development is in our DNA so I'm delighted that this year we are offering a brand-new mini-course, specially created by industry experts to help delegates make the most of the two-day Summit.

Spread over two sessions, Global Mobility Fundamentals is suitable for HR generalists and those who are new to Global Mobility (GM), subject matter experts who want to broaden their knowledge, or even experienced GM professionals who just want a refresher course.

I’m really keen that our Summit should be an event for all GM and HR professionals across the Americas, so the program has been created in consultation with senior global mobility figures who are actually dealing with the key challenges right across the region.

A fine example of this is Patricia Tavares, Global Lead in the Americas at Unilever, who is based in Brazil. She has been an esteemed EMMAs judge for several years now, and I’m delighted to announce that this year she will speaking at the Summit too.

Patricia will be presenting a Mobility Masterclass: Mobility Challenges in LATAM  and as she works across 26 countries in Latin America and runs our incredibly successful Brazil Chapter too, Patricia is wonderfully well qualified to share her insights.

Among other topics, we’ll also be exploring: Technology and AImodern mobility patterns, localization, talent management, and measuring ROIbenchmarking and evaluating reward, as well as best practice in managing vendors, plus of course we will bring you all the latest updates on immigration and tax compliance

Our RoundtablesPanel DiscussionsExpert Insight sessions, Workshops and Case Studies suit a range of learning styles – and we have more of our ever-popular Mobility Masterclasses presented by EMMAs winners who will share some the secrets of their success.

I do hope you will join us in Dallas – if you're an in-house GM professional you can register for free and take advantage of two full days of professional learning, development and networking!

We’ll be adding more details of the agenda in the coming week, but here are few more highlights:

Panel Discussion topics:

  • Managing risk and compliance in a VUCA world
