TOP TIPS FOR ENTERING THE EMEA EMMAs!
We caught up with our Editor to ask her for some hints and tips on how to create a winning entry for the EMEA Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs)
The entries for the EMEA Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards are now open and we've already seen some awesome submissions!
You will not want to miss the opportunity to ENTER or nominate your partners and clients to celebrate the success in your organisation this year and honour the contribution of your teams to the wider business. Plus, who knows if your competitor is one of those entries!
Our Editor, Courtney Ellis-Jones has trawled through some entries in her time, so we caught up with her to ask her for some hints and tips. Here's what she came up with....
1) BE RELEVANT
Read the criteria carefully and write a relevant entry that addresses the category. Answer the question, you don't need to add evidence out of scope. Focus on proving the work you have done in the category you are entering.
2) BE CONCISE
Be clear and specific. Stick to the word count and utilise your supporting documents to tell a cohesive narrative. The judges prefer a passionate, but short entry to a long and irrelevant entry.
3) DEMONSTRATE THE BENEFIT
Clearly show how the choice/solution/action benefited the wider business or your partner! Make your best points first and back up your claims with evidence. Demonstrate where you have realised change, innovation or bettering of your programme and the functions it touches. How have things improved since you did this?
4) BRING IT TO LIFE
KPIs, measurements and data analytics are a great way to bring to life how you transformed your work! Let us know how you measure success and what you delivered against. It brings the entry to life.
Provide a narrative answering “why” you should win. Don't be afraid to say you deserve it! Let the judges know how important the work has been for your clients/assignees and the effect it has had overall. It's big, what you've done! Don't downplay it!
Don't be put off if you entered before and didn't win. Try, try, try again.
