Mixed Marriages and Relationships - Can We Learn Something from them for better social cohesion?

Post Brexit has seen a number of racist incidents in the UK. Is this because we are not curious enough to know more from other cultures ? I am curious to know if we can learn from interracial relationships to improve social cohesion
