One of the most significant challenges that companies will face over the next decade is people management. Managing a multi-generational workforce, temporary and part-time workers and a growing cultural diversity will challenge businesses globally to tackle leadership issues and adapt to this new workforce profile in order to attract, engage and retain their talent in today's competitive marketplace.

The panel will explore how business is adapting global mobility programs to this changing workforce profile.

Speaker Panel:
Ulrike Fisher, Senior Manager - Global Mobility & Policy at CSL
Ulrike is senior manager, global mobility for the CSL Group, headquartered in Melbourne. In this role she is responsible for the development and delivery of CSL’s mobility policies and processes worldwide, with specifi c focus on the company’s main expatriation destinations of Australia, China, Germany, Switzerland and the US. Prior to joining CSL in 2010, Ulrike held senior international HR management roles in Germany and Australia in the manufacturing and professional services sectors

Kevin Thorley, Human Resources Manager at AusNet Services
As a qualified senior human resources professional with 20+ years’ experience within the resources (oil, gas, and mining), engineering, construction, government and manufacturing industries, Kevin has a passion for workforce planning, organisational design and talent management. Kevin has worked for diverse organisation such as the ATO, SNC Lavalin, BHP Billiton,Chevron, Exxon, TYCO, Downer and Bunge, providing human resource advice and support for many countries in the world including Australia, Pacific, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and New Caledonia. And managed HR for projects in Africa (Congo, Senegal), Saudi Arabia, South America (Peru), Canada, Uruguay, Columbia, Russia, Philippines, Singapore and Mongolia

Professor Robert E. Wood
Professor Wood is the Director of the Centre for Ethical Leadership (CEL), Professor at the Australian Graduate School of Management and Honorary Professor at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health. Professor Wood has designed, developed and delivered programs for senior managers and provided advice in many Australian and overseas corporations. He conducts research into problem solving and learning, unconscious bias, cognitive functions, leadership and diversity. Working with the CEL, he provides expertise on workplace flexibility, adaptive leadership, ethical decision making, gender equality, unconscious bias and diversity and inclusion

Deanna Spowart, Growth Talent Manager at Telstra
Deanna is a Growth Talent manager at Telstra, with a mandate to create and execute a personalised talent and development approach for growth businesses. Deanna job shares her role with Sharna Peters, an experienced HR professional. They have a passion for building unique strategies that enable people to deliver amazing results. Deanna is Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and has over 15 year’s experiences. Her roles include being Finance Manager for Brambles based in UK, as a Sarbanes Oxley Business analyst for BP in Europe and working on a global IT implementation project for BHP Billiton in UK, USA, Chile & Australia. Deanna joined Telstra in 2007 as a risk advisor. She moved into the IT group, building and executing on the People strategy and building performance culture. More recently, Deanna joined HR as OD Manager building programs for senior leaders in Operations.
