The Mumbai FEM Chapter covered one of the most challenging topics of Global Immigration: Proven methods and best practices for navigating the work permit process at individual, corporate and consulate levels.
The event had some of the most seasoned Immigration Experts come and share their experiences on what kind of challenges their firms face at Immigration and Consular levels when procuring work permits and visas and what are the best practices they follow for their organizations which ensures optimum results.
The discussion revolved around challenges faced for US, Canada, Japan and several more countries. At the end of each speaker’s presentation, the floor was open for Q&As and everyone was free to share their experiences as well.
We also had a special presentation on the I-9 violations and penalties associated with the same and a presentation on the EB-5 Proramme which was conducted by a Senior Attorney & Partner from Fakhoury Global Immigration. The I-9 topic was of interest to a lot of companies present as they were keen to know how they could ensure compliance for their organization always.
We also had a special speaker from American Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Nadu who shared his experience and knowledge on how to face visa interviews at Consulates and the Do’s and Don’ts to follow to ensure a positive experience at the Consulates.
