The Ghana Petroleum Commission (GPC) has introduced an online system for receiving and reviewing work permit applications. Work permit applicants must email their application and all supporting documents to humanresourcecommittee@petrocom.gov.gh to the attention of the Work Permit Committee (WPC), Localization Unit, Petroleum Commission.

The Work Permit Committee will acknowledge receipt of the application, review and assess it and provide comments if necessary, before advising the applicant to submit an original paper application to the Commission.

What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals

Work permit applicants in the oil and gas sector can expect a streamlined application process and should work with their immigration professional to submit their applications for online review.
