Bolivia: Foreign Nationals Must Complete Mandatory Registration Process by April 2017

Foreign nationals currently living in Bolivia must complete an online form and take it to the immigration authority office to submit fingerprints and take a photograph by April 2017. Penalties for noncompliance are likely to be implemented in the future.

Foreign nationals currently living in Bolivia (with or without a visa) must register online before immigration by April 2017, according to a new immigration policy implemented due to increased security efforts.


Registration Details

Foreign nationals must complete an online form on the immigration authority website and take it to the immigration authority office to submit fingerprints and take a photograph.

What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals

Although there are currently no penalties for those who do not comply with this process, it is likely that penalties may be implemented. Therefore, foreign nationals are advised to complete the registration process by April.
