23 MARCH, 2017
16:00 PM - 17:00 PM (BST)
2016 heralded un-precedented change for UK global mobility practitioners, as the UK voted to leave the European Union in a bid to restrict European migration, and the Tier 2 regime for skilled migrant workers from outside Europe was restricted further. There is an ever greater need for UK employers to strategise on how to maintain a skilled UK work force within an increasingly restrictive legal landscape – you cannot afford to miss this training, and consider how to prepare your company and its employees for the future.
Hosted by Emily King, BAL Managing Director, Europe, and Rekha Simpson, BAL Senior Immigration Manager, this briefing will guide you through April’s key changes to the Tier 2 Skilled worker rules and appropriate employer responses to the challenge of Brexit. In particular, BAL will provide strategic analysis and practical business-oriented insight into:
- Brexit: HR benchmarking and pro-active policies and services for corporations based on the latest political, legal and operational developments.
- Tier 2 reforms – including expansion of the Immigration Health Surcharge, new Skills Charge regime, increases to salary levels, remodeling of Tier 2 (ICT) routes, new rules for graduate hiring, and new Overseas Criminal Records Checks.
- Sponsor compliance – updates to the sponsor licensing regime, and to prevention of illegal working responses in light of immigration Act 2016 increased criminal and civil sanctions.
- Global travel – appropriate responses to increased security landscape.
