Colombia: Yellow Fever Certificates Now Required for Some Travelers
Effective immediately, nationals of Angola, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda must present an International Certificate of Yellow Fever Vaccination to enter Colombia. Nationals of other countries entering certain risk regions are advised to also obtain a vaccination, however this remains optional. Travelers are advised to be vaccinated at least 10 days prior to entering Colombia.

Effective immediately, nationals of Angola, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda must present an International Certificate of Yellow Fever Vaccination to enter the country, due to a recent international outbreak of yellow fever. Nationals of other countries entering certain risk regions are advised to also obtain a vaccination, however this remains optional.
The following regions are listed as risk zones:
• Amazonas
• Antioquia
• Arauca
• Casanare
• Caquetá
• Cesar
• Chocó
• Guainía
• Guaviare
• La Guajira
• Magdalena
• Meta
• Norte de Santander
• Putumayo
• Vaupés
• Vichada
What This Means for Foreign Nationals
Nationals of Angola, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda who do not present a vaccination certificate will likely not be allowed to board their plane to Colombia.
