Tanzania: Employers To Submit Biannual Returns by June 30
The Tanzanian Non-Citizens Act 2015 (Employment Regulation) requires the employers to submit their returns to the Labor Commissioner twice per year, on June 30 and December 31.
The return form must detail the total number of foreign national and local employees, to include foreign nationals currently employed and those leaving the company in the past six months.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Employers must submit their biannual returns by June 30, 2017. Failure to meet this deadline may be declared as non-compliant by the Labor Commissioner, which will directly impact their ability to continue to sponsor foreign nationals.
