After a week of suspended service, DHL, FedEx and UPS have resumed their shipping services to and from Venezuela.
Other smaller courier services, such as Servientrega (from Colombia), have also resumed their service to and from Venezuela.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals currently outside of Venezuela who are obtaining or legalizing documents from Venezuela for immigration applications in other countries will now be able to courier their documents for procurement and legalization processes in Venezuela.
In Venezuela's current political climate, arbitrary and unpredictable situations are common. Fragomen is monitoring these developments closely and will provide timely information as changes happen. Please consult your immigration professional if you or your foreign nationals require assistance with these services.
This alert is for informational purposes only. If you have any questions, please contact the global immigration professional with whom you work at Fragomen or send an email to lar@fragomen.com
