Our May NYC Chapter meeting: “Trump and Business Immigration Reform” was yet another successful event at our wonderful host, KPMG, New York City office.

We would like to give a big thank you to our presenters of the night: Bo Cooper, Partner, Fragomen Worldwide, Washington, D.C. (former General Counsel to USCIS); Ethan Kaufman, Partner, Fragomen Worldwide, NYC; and Rina Montalvo, Global Mobility & Immigration, Dow Jones & Company.

The speakers shared their knowledge on how one global company is reacting to the shifting global landscape on immigration. Immigration was among one of the controversial issues dominating the first days of the Trump administration. While the dust has not settled, global mobility professionals need to anticipate the direction the Trump administration wants to take corporate immigration and how Congress might respond.

Attendees gained a concise overview of future immigration-related executive orders and policy proposals from the Trump administration, regulatory initiatives that are underway and the range of legislative proposals at play.

If your business supports expatriates and is located within the New York City area - this networking group is a great event to attend.
