Following the recently concluded Kenya general
elections held on August 8, 2017, operations at the Department of Immigration
have remained very slow. Most immigration officials are still away from the
office especially following sporadic unrest in Nairobi. Other government
offices are also operating on a limited capacity.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals and employers with pending applications should expect delays
due to the limited operations.
