Anir Chatterji from PwC Legal Middle East LLP leads the FEM Dubai/Middle East Chapter. The Middle East Chapter focuses on bringing together an independent network of international HR and mobility professionals and to provide a forum to knowledge share, network and develop best practice mechanisms in the world of Immigration and Global Mobility.

The PwC team and our steering committee consists of international Global Mobility experts across various industries working together to create unique quarterly events and a go-to place for specialist technical knowledge on a range of issues affecting mobility planning.

Dubai Chapter Lead
Anir Chatterji, Senior Manager, Solicitor (England and Wales) and U.S. Attorney-at-Law (New York), PwC Legal Middle East LL
Anir specialises in global immigration law and policy. Anir is a dual-qualified lawyer with broad experience in employment and immigration risk and compliance. Anir has substantial experience in the finance sector, having managed immigration on-site for a multinational bank for a few years and having delivered corporate immigration services for top-ranked immigration practices. Since joining PwC Legal, Anir has project managed several global transitions and account implementations and has in-depth experience working with companies in the technology, automotive as well as the oil and gas industries.
Anir is currently focusing on aligning government policy with corporate business strategy for leading global companies in the MENA region. Anir is also dedicated to delivering technological solutions for the management of risk and compliance associated with mobility and HR practices. He also has experience in liaising with immigration authorities to provide detailed representations looking at the wider context of immigration to secure exceptional immigration routes for clients.
Anir regularly speaks at external events advising on changes to immigration law and policy, he also writes extensively in legal journals and numerous other publications. Anir also provides in-house training for clients. Anir is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association. He holds a degree in Law and Politics and is also registered with the UK’s Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner.
Ali Haider, Manager at PwC Legal Middle East LLP
Ali specialises in global mobility and corporate immigration and has over five years of region-specific experience with the immigration policies of the greater MENA region, including regional business hubs such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. Ali assists/advises large multinational conglomerates on various ME immigration matters and has assisted in completing large-scale immigration health checks and providing strategic immigration advice in relation to global mergers and acquisitions. Ali also has broad experience in the financial sector, having been involved in providing consultations and strategic advice to financial regulators and stock exchanges.
Ali has written several articles on the dynamic immigration landscape of the Middle East and has also authored and contributed to several regional publications that report on changes to regional immigration policies and their effect on business in the region.
Ali has also provided training on technical Saudi and UAE immigration matters, including talks on the Nitaqat framework governing Saudisation, various ministry portals, quotas and block visas, and other compliance considerations. Ali also regularly prepares updates on regional immigration trends and developments and has, in the past, worked on several major immigration record keeping projects, including a global initiative that tracked the immigration framework for over 160 countries. Ali also specialises in the regional immigration implications of large-scale corporate endeavours, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and re-branding initiatives.

Samantha Daly, Country Manager UAE, K2 Corporate Mobility
Sam originates from a HR and real estate background and has developed her career to specialise in
expatriate management, global mobility and has also expanded into full assignment management.
Beginning her career in Scotland, Sam relocated to Singapore in 2013 where she worked as an
expatriate herself in the global mobility sector, building on her HR experience to provide full expatriate
support and assignment management services across the region – working with fellow expatriates and
corporate clients to ensure high quality service and compliance.
During her time in Singapore, Sam gained further experience in; Surveying, Home Finding, Business
Development, Premier Tier Services and Account Management.
Sam has extensive experience both in managing multi-cultural teams and working with multi-national
clients. Beginning her employment with K2 Corporate Mobility in 2013, Sam managed the Client
Services team in the APAC region before leaving to expand her assignment management experience
working as an in-house HR and mobility specialist for a multi-national company in the Singapore office.
Sam has since relocated to Dubai had has re-joined K2 Corporate Mobility, to assist with the set-up of
our newest venture in the UAE.
Marie O’Neill, GMS, MIM, General Manager, Executive Expatriate Relocations (EER)
Marie has lived in Dubai for 10 years and worked at EER for 7 years. Originally from Ireland, Marie holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from University of Limerick. Marie has lived and worked in Germany, South Korea, Australia and most recently Dubai after leaving Ireland in 2002. She has experience working across various industries, positions, countries and cultures. Her experience spans across the hospitality, IT, telecommunications, entertainment, advertising sectors and for the past 7 years, global mobility and immigration.
Recently promoted to General Manager of EER from previous roles as Business Development & Account Manager and latterly as Head Of Business Operations, having directly led the growth and expansion of EER across the region. Marie has drive, passion and a commitment to service excellence and is highly regarded by her industry peers, clients and colleagues. Earlier this year, she has been appointed to the TIRA board, which is an aligned network of quality mobility service providers.
Her dedication, professionalism and leadership exemplifies EER’s core values and her determination to raise the company profile globally.
In her spare time, Marie is a keen triathlete and in the past has completed an Ironman in Western Australia where she raised funds to purchase a school bus for a school in Ethiopia that she supports.
