As an update to the travel restrictions for U.S. citizens, the Ministry of Labor has resumed adjudicating and approving work permits and work permit renewals for U.S. citizens.

  • Work Visa issuance still restricted.
Note however, that foreign nationals whose Work Visas were approved based on a work permit still cannot pick up their Work Visa at a Turkish consular post in the United States.
  • What this means for U.S. citizens awaiting Work Visas.
U.S. citizens who are awaiting a Work Visa based on an approved work permit who urgently need to enter Turkey under a Work Visa can re-file their Work Visa application at a non-U.S. consulate, if they are a permanent residence or dual national of that country or if the post has waived the residency requirement.

This situation is subject to change; further updates will be published as they become available.
