The National Registry office's online system at the Puerto Madero area of Buenos Aires has been disabled and is expected to remain down through the week. Foreign nationals seeking to obtain urgent police clearances at this location will not be able to do so until the system is functional.

The situation The National Registry (Registro National de Reincidencia) online system at the Puerto Madero area of Buenos Aires has been disabled and is expected to remain down through the week. Foreign nationals seeking to obtain urgent police clearances at this location will not be able to do so until the system is functional.

A closer look

  • Who is impacted. Foreign nationals who seek to secure initial or renewed temporary residence - 23 (a) and (e) - and transitory visas - 24(h) - on the same day that they apply.
  • Alternative. Foreign nationals can apply for a police clearance at another Registro National de Reincidencia office. The San Isidro location is the closest office to the Puerto Madero office that provides same-day service; however, it can take at least two hours to reach that office.
