A news report by McClatchy DC Saturday that DHS is considering a change to its policy on H-1B extension petitions has raised concern among companies and H-1B workers about their ability to renew their status. DHS has not announced any official policy change, and H-1B extension petitions are being filed and adjudicated as usual.

BAL has produced an FAQ to answer questions about what is being considered, how it would change the current policy, whom it would impact, and how long a policy change would take to implement. Read the FAQ here.
