The situation

Effective February 15, 2018, nationals of Angola and Mozambique will be able to travel between the two countries without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.

A closer look

  • Purpose. The visa waiver is only for nationals entering for either business or tourist purposes. The visa waiver does not cover those nationals intending to pursue work, residence or studies.
  • Extensions. Angolan and Mozambican nationals will be allowed one extension of stay in-country.
  • Impact. The visa waiver will allow nationals of one country to be able to travel more freely to the other country.
