Stealth travellers: Here's how to manage your informally mobile population

FEM talks with Jennifer de Brueys ahead of the FEM EMEA Summit 2018!

FEM meets with Jennifer de Brueys, Global Business Traveller Enablement Lead of FIS Global, to talk about international business travel and her upcoming session...

Jennifer provides a proactive risk management and solution-focused Global Business Traveler Program to employees and managers at FIS. She takes overall responsibility for the delivery of the GBT Enablement pillar's strategy, objectives and governance framework and we're excited to be welcoming Jennifer to the corporates-only roundtables on the 8 November.

Here's a preview of what's to come...

What are the most significant changes that you have seen in the last 14 years that you've been involved in Global Mobility?

I think the most significant changes I have seen are in the areas of policy, with more flexible benefits being used, the increased functionality of technology and the focus on international business travel.

What do you think are the three greatest challenges facing Global Mobility professionals in the EMEA region today?

  • Brexit
  • How best to use technology, including AI and robotics
  • The integration of GM and talent

What do you find most valuable about the Summit?

I find the chance to hear firsthand how other companies have made changes is fantastic. Also, I hear the networking breaks have been extended, which is a great opportunity to meet new and familiar faces.

What are the key messages you hope delegates will take away from your session?

With the increased focus on international business travellers it becomes more and more important that organisations find ways to track and mitigate the risks. I hope that delegates will come and share their ideas, the areas that work well in their programs or challenges they may be facing.

Who would you recommend should attend your session and why?

I would recommend that anyone who has, or will have some responsibility for international business travellers attend the session.

Which session are you most interested to attend and why?

There are so many sessions that I am looking forward to attending, it’s hard to pick just one! I'm very interested in the ‘How will Global Mobility look in 2028?' and the sessions on Brexit.

How many years have you been coming to FEM Events?

I have been attending FEM events in Sydney for the last few years, but I have just relocated from Australia so this is my first FEM conference in the UK!
