TRAVEL RISK OUTLOOK 2020(TRO2020)

During the annual travel risk outlook, our experts talk about this year’s crises, what the outlook for travel risk and global mobility in 2020 is, and key global issues and emerging trends.

At this event International SOS will highlight the Asia Pacific region and the results of the Ipsos 2020 Trends Watch study.

Each year International SOS conducts an annual Travel Risk Outlook(TRO), as part of our work we conduct an online survey with questions around threat levels, emerging traveller and global mobility issues and risk perception vs. reality.  We engage global market research and consulting firm Ipsos to conduct on our behalf.  In preparation for TRO2020, we have been liaising with Ipsos about using a new method of deep dive interviewing to identify the top concerns among industry professionals, which we will then also use to frame expert opinion on the top concerns.

In this event we will have a panel of medical, security, travel risk and global mobility professionals to present the TRO2020.  The FEM events in both Melbourne and Sydney will launch this research for the Asia Pacific region.

Speakers:

Dr Natalie Yuen, Deputy Medical Director, International SOS:

Natalie joined International SOS in 2012 as a Coordinating Doctor in the Sydney Assistance Centre and shortly thereafter was promoted to the role of Deputy Medical Director. At International SOS Natalie is responsible for managing the Sydney Assistance Platform, providing a wide range of support for our corporate, government, education and NGO  clients and their populations before, during and after travel or assignment.

 James Robertson, Regional Security Director:

James oversees the delivery of all travel advisory and security services for clients across the Australasia region. He and the Asia Pacific team operate closely with the broader International SOS and Control Risks offices globally to provide a unified solution for travel security assistance needs. Prior to joining International SOS and Control Risks, James directed several security, analysis and training projects throughout the Middle East and East Africa for British, US and Canadian clients with The Stabilisation Network, a British security firm. This work involved leading multi-disciplinary teams to analyse and assess threats from terrorist and violent extremist organisations as well as training local partners to counter these threats.  

Louise Volsen, Director Client Services:

Louise is responsible for ensuring client success, managing our account management and service delivery teams. Louise’s role involves the commercial scoping, product innovation and quality delivery of our core solutions. Working alongside our medical and security SMEs, Louise’s primary role is to ensure our international clients are mitigating their travel and occupational health risks. Prior to this Louise was the Products and Solutions Director for Australasia, working alongside our global products team and regional clients, Louise assisted to devise solutions for our customers and their varying environments and industries they operate in.

Moderator:  Claire Antczak

Claire's primary responsibility is the region’s internal and external communications. She works closely with the medical, security and travel risk teams to ensure a high quality of deliverable company material and program information. Before joining International SOS, Claire worked for healthcare organisations in both Utah and Illinois. She focused on educating patients and supporting the community outreach programs.
