Kate has been working in international mobility for the last 6 years, across a number of different industries including energy and resources, manufacturing and engineering, and most recently the legal industry. Her current role as Senior HR Adviser at Herbert Smith Freehills requires joint facilitation of the firm’s mobility program across the APAC region, with the majority of our moves taking place between Australia and UK, as well as intra-Asia. Kate’s prior experience in the public sector and post graduate studies in migration law has fuelled her ongoing interest in the ever changing immigration landscape in Australia. 

Sasko Markovski, Partner, Fragomen
Sasko is a Partner in Fragomen’s Sydney office. He has practiced in immigration law for over eighteen years, and has provided Australian immigration advice and assistance to Australian and international businesses across a wide range of industry sectors. His clients include world leaders in sectors such as ICT, FMCG, pharmaceutical, and management consulting. Sasko has also advised many start-up organizations with visa and immigration requirements. In addition, he has extensive experience advising clients on complex immigration compliance matters, including representing clients in audits and other compliance activities conducted by immigration authorities.

Shabina Nairn, Immigration and Relocation Specialist, University of Sydney
Shabina is an experienced Human Resources practitioner who has been working in the higher education sector for an accumulative of 10 years in the areas of immigration, mobility, employee relations, and recruitment.  Shabina’s current role as the Immigration and Relocation Specialist for the University of Sydney is to provide high level guidance and information on immigration and relocation matters to employees and visitors across the University. She leads an in-house immigration team that is responsible for the processing of the University’s immigration applications and overseeing the immigration compliance.
