Business Travellers - Compliance, Managing Risk & Sharing War Stories

We all have international business travellers that need to travel compliantly and this issue has never been more relevant with geopolitical uncertainty, data sharing between authorities and the BEPS agenda. Vish Beedassy – Regional Tax Manager – CB&I
Vish is the Regional Tax Manager overlooking the Asia Pacific region for CB&I . Vish has over 12 years' experience in International tax, employment and expatriate taxation both within industry and the Big 4 accounting firms. Prior to his career in tax & mobility, Vish also worked in the United Nation's WCAR program for the Southern Africa region.

Francine Colgan - Mobility Lead - Monadelphous Group Limited
Francine has 20 years experience in Human Resource Management in Professional Services, Recruitment, Mining and Construction industries. Over the last 12 years her focus has primarily been on Global Mobility with equal focus towards Australian immigration and relocation, and mobilising Australian nationals to global locations. While traditionally Monadelphous Expatriates have followed rotational rosters into various countries including Papua New Guinea and China, more recently business operations have been extended to Mongolia, New Zealand and USA. Compliance around immigration and employment law are not possible without the overlay of both corporate and employee taxation requirements and so a close working relationship with Libby Storm and the Monadelphous Tax team has been vital for success.

Libby Storm - Senior Tax Accountant - Monadelphous Group Limited
Libby has 10 + years of experience working in tax. Libby commenced her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers initially specialising in Corporate Tax but later spending a few years working with expatriates in PwC’s International Assignment Solutions team. Libby is currently working as the Senior Tax Accountant at Monadelphous. Her role addresses corporate, employment and transactional taxes in a number of international jurisdictions. Monadelphous has a tax presence in a number of countries including Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Mongolia, China and the USA amongst others. This also includes the administration of a tax equalisation policy for Monadelphous’ expatriates, in conjunction with Francine Colgan.

Beth King - Business Risk Manager - International SOS
Beth King, Risk Manager, International SOS specialising in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure. Working in partnership with various organisations across a wide variety of high risk industries both domestically and internationally to assist organisations manage the medical and security risks associated with global projects, travel and international operations. With a background in occupational health and management, I support clients in their needs of Remote Medical Site Health Management, and Travel Risk Management to meet their duty of care.
