The Brazilian Ministry of Labor’s online system, Migranteweb, is temporarily inoperable.
Foreign nationals must use Migranteweb to submit many visa and residence permit applications in Brazil, as well as additional information requested by the Ministry of Labor upon review of an immigration application.
- As there are no workarounds for the submission of these above-mentioned documents, affected foreign nationals will see longer processing times until the system is resolved and following the resolution while the government works on the inevitable backlog.
- Applications submitted at Brazilian consular posts abroad are unaffected by the outage.
- The Ministry is accepting Short-Term Technical Visa applications by email, due to this visa’s urgency.
Fragomen will monitor this situation and provide updates when the situation is resolved.
