We would like to thank the KPMG New York City office for being a great host for our September NYC chapter meeting: “Luxury Goods Market – What Lies Ahead?” Additionally, a huge thank you to our presenters who shared their vast knowledge and expertise on this subject: Daniela Fehr, Global HR Director, of Ralph Lauren; Peggy Lee, Director, Compensation & Expatriates, of LVMH; and Frank Schuitema, Director, Global Compensation & International Mobility, of International Flavors and Fragrances.

Attendees gained a unique insight into the issues of global relocation from the perspective of luxury industry professionals, all of whom worked in other industries before landing where they are today. The luxury goods market has grown greatly over the last decade, yet has begun to stall. Meanwhile, connectivity continues to drive new opportunities in digital innovation with the internet and social media reaching new markets. This esteemed panel discussed how these and other factors are affecting global mobility within this industry as well as how top luxury brands are currently staying on top of it all.
