Talent in Motion - Frank Schuitema explains how Global Mobility can be used to attract and develop the very best in your organization
Based in New York, Frank Schuitema is the Director of Global Compensation, Benefits and Talent Mobility at International Flavors and Fragrances Inc. (IFF) and is well-known to regular attendees of FEM events, where he has proved to be a popular and entertaining speaker.
This year, Frank is delivering the closing keynote address on Day One of the FEM Americas Summit in Denver. His subject is talent, and how to leverage Global Mobility, not only to attract the very best, but also to develop and retain that human capital.
Frank has an easy charm and infectious laugh, as he demonstrated on a recent call, but although his manner is genial, his expertise is of a serious nature. He joined IFF in 2010 and is responsible for the design, implementation, planning and administration of all non-executive compensation programs. His role there includes job evaluation, benchmarking, salary surveying, market reviews, base salary and special pay programs, as well as benefits plan design and management.
At IFF, a global brand that has more than 7,000 employees worldwide and specializes in fragrances, beauty, detergents and household goods, as well as foods and beverages, Frank also leads a team that is responsible for the program management of all Executive Compensation Plans and manages the due diligence and HR integration for M&A initiatives.
Frank has also led the development and implementation of a Global Talent Mobility Program, so he has a compelling case study to share with our attendees.
Here is a brief outline of his Keynote Address:

- International assignments as drivers of development for future leaders

Frank will also be taking part in a panel discussion on Day Two of the Summit, where, with Guli Blake, a Global Mobility & International Benefits Specialist, formerly at Newmont Mining in Denver, he will be talking about Relocation Hotspots: Where Are They Now - and Where Will They Be in the Next 12 Months?
Look out for further details of this session in our Agenda and a forthcoming article.
