Arizona Southwest Chapter: An Introduction
An introduction to the FEM Arizona Southwest Chapter
The Arizona Southwest Chapter, founded in 2015, is headed by the Chandler-based company Chamness Relocation Solutions. The board is made up of employers and relocation suppliers, including members from Boulevard Suites, OnSemiconductor, and KPMG.
Members of the Arizona SW Chapter attend several of the international FEM events thought the year. The Chapter hosts local social events designed to create an environment of informal networking, as well as quarterly informational sessions that cover a variety of global mobility topics from immigration, payroll and expense management to relocation services, tax, and more.
The goal for both the social events and informational sessions is to have a little fun, while creating an open-forum discussion environment in which mobility professionals have an opportunity to gain increased insight to the requirements and challenges faced when managing with business travelers and relocating employees.
The social events are mixer events open to anyone in the relocation industry, scheduled after business hours at local area venues and are typically no-host or partially hosted by a Chapter member organization with no formal agenda. These social mixers serve as a great outreach for the Chapter, providing the opportunity to educate potential members about FEM and the benefits of joining the Chapter. Informational sessions are scheduled in local facilities during regular business hours and include an introductory networking session, a presentation by an expert in a relevant global mobility topic, and a closing Q&A session.
Being a member of the Arizona SW Chapter can open up new avenues for educations and peer relationships that are critical to success as a global mobility professional.
