The focus of this session was to try to tackle this emerging topic from a global mobility perspective with peers in the room from various FEM member organisations with the facilitation of the Deloitte team.

What sustainability strategies have been devised for our industry? What more can be done by Global Mobility professionals towards helping their organisations meet their climate responsibilities? Understanding the obstacles faced by Global Mobility professionals?

A collaborative discussion unfolded on practical pathways available to creating a future proof sustainability strategy.

One of the main takeaways from the session was:- whilst traditional Global Mobility assignments typically make up between 1-5% of the workforce, this proportion is much larger when considering remote workers and business travellers. As such the ‘scope’ of Global Mobility is wider in the post-pandemic world, and therefore, the opportunity to enable the C&S workforce agenda is greater. Global Mobility CAN and SHOULD make a difference.
