A special thank you to our host EY and our supporter The Expat Management Group.

Around 40 HR and Global Mobility professionals accepted our invitation and joined us for an insightful and engaging evening.

We began with two interactive roundtable discussions, led by Tracy Paech (Bayer) and Denise Vorbrink (Covestro):

  • Tracy’s group explored what strategies are required in Global Mobility to address current economic pressures and respond to future trends.
  • Denise’s group discussed how Global Mobility can manage increasing pressure on costs and limited resources.

These discussions were followed by a panel session, moderated by Frank Jura. Alongside Tracy and Denise, we were pleased to welcome Sabrina Cunsolo (Grünenthal Group) and Dr Pia Neilson (thyssenkrupp nucera) to the panel.

Key takeaways from the evening included:

  • Global Mobility functions can remain relevant by broadening their service offering, such as incorporating business travel compliance, or by offering more flexible and cost-effective assignment models.
  • In parallel, increased use of technology can free up time and resources, enabling a more personalised assignee experience and better alignment of policies to assignment types.

Following the thought-provoking and inspiring discussions, the evening continued with excellent food, drinks and networking, where many valuable new connections were made, and old ones rekindled.

A heartfelt thank you to our fantastic panellists for sharing their time, insights and expertise, as well as to our generous host and supporter – and of course to all participants who contributed to a successful and memorable Chapter Meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to the next one!
