The Belgium Chapter, founded in 2011, is headed by Joost Schramme, Benelux Regional Sales and Marketing Director of Santa Fe Relocation Services. The Steering Committee is formed of individuals from UCB, Johnson & Johnson, BNP Paribas and Huntsman Europe.

The Chapter has garnered support from many industries. In addition to the frequent international events held by FEM, the Belgium Chapter holds quarterly events that encompass every aspect of global mobility, including immigration, payroll and expense management, relocation, tax, and more. Event attendees range from Global Mobility analysts to senior management.

Generally, the Belgium Chapter invites experts to present on relevant global mobility topics, to be followed by an engaging discussion between event attendees and speakers. These discussions feature both the standpoint of the Global Mobility professional and the expatriate themselves.

In June, the Belgium Chapter held an event focused on ‘How the Schengen Legislation in the current European landscape impacts your immigration approach’. During our next event on September 22nd we will discuss: “Bridging the Gap: Closing the gap between global mobility reality and business expectations, and what are the key actions and initiatives to ensure that global mobility teams remain valuable to their organisations?”

Those who may be interested in joining the Belgium Chapter for one of their upcoming events or networking opportunities are welcome to contact Joost Schramme for more information.
