The Southwest Texas Chapter was founded in 2015. Its general aim is to provide an opportunity, and a forum, for mobility professionals to learn about current issues and industry trends from peers and subject matter experts.

The Southwest Texas Chapter is headed by Cara Butler, Vice President, Client Development with Going-there Global Destination Services. Our chapter has quarterly meetings where we discuss such issues as tax and immigration updates, duty of care, payroll, best practices and more. Attendees range from global mobility analysts to senior level management.

Our first meeting of the year will focus on the basics in managing a global assignment. The panel will discuss what managers should consider when faced with mobilizing employees for the first time. Focus will be placed on how to establish a policy, tax and immigration considerations, duty of care, and more.
