The Southwest Texas FEM Chapter held their meeting on August 16th, in San Antonio, Texas. Our topic was "A Beginner's Guide to Managing Global Assignments", and our panel did an excellent job of sharing their expertise with the group. Emphasis was placed on how to maintain compliance in the areas of tax and immigration, as well as things to consider when developing a policy. Evette Ybarra, Rackspace, shared some of the challenges she and her team faced and overcame when formalizing their program.

Our panel consisted of: Jim Miller, Senior Director, BDO; Haseena J. Enu, Partner at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy, LLP; Evette Ybarra, Global Mobility Specialist, Rackspace; and Janet Markle, Regional Vice President at Weichert Workforce Mobility.

Also, a special "thank you" to Jamie Paniszczyn and Valero for hosting our meeting. And an additional "thank you" to Weichert Workforce Mobility for sponsoring our luncheon.
