As Britain prepares to leave the EU on 29 March 2019, much uncertainty hangs in the air. For employers with international mobile employees working between the UK and other EU countries the potential impact on the social security status of mobile workers should not be ignored.
Will the EU’s social security standards still apply in the UK after Brexit? Can employers' continue paying the home country’s social security for assigned employees? What about the health insurance of international mobile employees? The answers depend on the kind of relations the British government wants to establish for the time after Brexit.
To give the latest update on this topic and to provide the basic guidelines on the social security and health insurance position of international mobile workers, Justien Hendriks, Advisor, Expat Insurances at JoHo Insurances, will join us on this FEM Event. Justien Hendriks has over 15 years of experience in the fields of international social security and has previously worked at PwC and Deloitte and has published numerous articles on this subject.
Also, the free movement of persons is one of the key areas affected by Brexit and a great concern of employers with cross border employees. Gwen Keller, Immigration Director at Hillbrook, will discuss with you how companies can prepare themselves.
When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018 14.30 - 18.00
