This month's Perth Chapter Meeting's session on the topic of Short Term Business Travellers was informative, interesting and touched on a broad range of issues for companies to consider. We all have international business travellers that need to travel compliantly and this issue has never been more relevant with geopolitical uncertainly, data sharing between authorities and the BEPS agenda. Businesses need to consider the immigration and tax compliance complexities that come with this type of employee mobility and partner with their Global Mobility teams, to ensure systems and processes are in place to manage the risks and requirements.

Our speakers shared their expertise and experiences using real-life tax and immigration examples, through to insurance, international tracking and safety of business travellers (including crisis management strategies). Engagement of the business across all stakeholder levels including engagement from the employee themselves is key to effectively managing.

A big thank you to our panel and active audience and to PwC for hosting.
