This
past Thursday, the Boston Chapter of FEM had a very interactive discussion on
ROI for global mobility talent management. The presentation was conducted
by Lisa Cianflone of AIReS.
With a nice mix of corporates and vendors we
enjoyed many different opinions, perspectives and ideas on the matter. One
of the important takeaways is that globally mobile employees usually represent
only a small portion of the employee population so that challenge is making our
voices/needs heard properly.
Tom Recchuiti, Managing Director of KPMG’s expatriate
tax services, stressed the importance of having a champion for the global
mobility manager at the senior leadership table. But before we can get to
that point, we need to fully define the strategic objectives and what actually
makes an assignment successful for the company.
Looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
