China or the “Middle Kingdom” has enjoyed an extraordinary economic expansion during the last 30 years. We will present a global picture of the challenges facing China today and try to evaluate its positioning on the global stage notably in comparison to the USA.
Expatriation to China : A tax and legal headache

Discussion will include individual tax rules and its latest modifications followed by a presentation on social security rules and bilateral totalisation agreements signed by China. We will look at the current cost of living situation in China, comparing Beijing with Shanghai and other cities. We will discuss the pollution impact and whether or not a specific allowance should be taken into consideration when calculating the compensation package.
