Introduce yourself in 100 words.
Rob Fletcher started his career in mobility in the 90’s (just for the record, not the 1890’s) and has, for over 30 years, built up a deep understanding of the mobility industry. Having held senior positions in a number of global relocation companies.
“I have learned what it means to be humble yet remain decisive, I am still learning as much today as I did on my first day”.
Rob is Co-Founder of Heart Relocation which was created to focus on the emotional relocation journey as much as the physical move and places wellbeing at the very core of their service offering.
Why did you decide to partner with FEM and Lead their Chapter meetings?
Knowledge is power and knowledge shared is even more powerful. As an industry we have not always been good at sharing. FEM is one of the organisations that embraces knowledge sharing and engagement and I really felt that it was an amazing opportunity to be able to be part of that. I learn new things every day, and the next generation of our industry leaders are staring their careers and seeking knowledge, and amongst their ranks are the future innovators and leaders both the corporate and service provider side. FEM Chapter meetings are a great opportunity to share knowledge and expertise. How could I not want to be part of that?
What can delegates expect from your Chapter meetings?
We want to challenge and engage our attendees with relevant content, we want to embrace both those seasoned professionals who have knowledge to share as well encouraging those staring out on their mobility career journeys to ask questions and share innovation. We want you the attendees to be part of building the content and learning, what is important to you, how do we get the best out of the investment of time, from our busy schedules, to make these events of value? Our ambition for the UK Chapter, as one of the global hot spots for mobility, is to create content and learning as well as delivering ideas that enhance and improve mobility for all.
What are some of the most important issues for global mobility professionals in your location?
We are faced with a constantly changing world. Now more than ever mobility is faced with increased compliance and complexity around tax and immigration, work from anywhere, remote work and cost constraints. This is blended against a need to be good global citizens with ESG and DEI being high on everyone’s agenda all underpinned by the human side of relocation and wellness and wellbeing. Where does digital fit in with this? How can we leverage technology but remain focussed on the human experience? So many questions!
Ask a question for FEM members to start the discussion/engagement on your Chapter Page that could also help you to prepare for your meetings.
- What, Who, Where, When and Why?
- What topics would you be interested in hearing about
- Who should we aim the meetings at Senior Mobility professionals for professional networking and benchmarking and/or newer members for learning and development or both?
- Where is a good location for you, should we look to run events outside London?
- When is a good time for you, mornings, afternoons, evenings, which day of the week works best?
- Why….What is the best outcome you can imagine from attending a FEM Chapter event?
